Ongoing Exhibit: The Lives of Pinocchio

This ongoing exhibition through October 15, 2023 organized by IAMLA in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute Los Angeles under the auspices of the Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles explores the cultural origins, interpretations, and enduring appeal of one of the most popular characters in children’s literature. Written in 1883 by Italian author Carlo Collodi, The Adventures of Pinocchio has delighted generations. The book has been translated into over 260 languages—a number exceeded only by the Bible.
