Description
Adult Italian Beginning 103 Biweekly is an accelerated Italian class designed for students who have an established low-level beginning level of proficiency. This class meets online twice a week in order to complete the curriculum in just 5 weeks! Throughout this course, students learn new vocabulary starting with means of transport, street directions, shops and services, types of accommodations, time indicators (ieri, oggi, domani, etc.), months and seasons, holiday activities, weather conditions, everyday actions, and congratulations and wishes for special occasions. Grammar concepts taught aim to deepen students’ knowledge of the present tense, adverbs, prepositions, possessive adjectives, past tense (passato prossimo) of regular and irregular verbs, and present tense of reflexive verbs. At the end of the course, students will confidently describe a city, talk about lifestyle and activities, follow and give street directions, complain about a hotel room, describe work habits and routines, talk about past actions, talk about holidays, and write a greeting card.
