🇮🇹New High School Italian Language Program Being Offered at The International School of Los Angeles in Burbank, CA!🇮🇹
Fondazione Italia is excited to announce that The International School of Los Angeles will introduce Italian to the curriculum in the international high school track starting in the 2023-2024 academic year. From 2023, students entering 9th grade international track will study two languages from a choice of three: French, Italian, and Spanish. Each language will be studied for four hours per week, for grades 9 and 10, preparing students for Language Acquisition (Language B) courses in the same languages in the International Baccalaureate’s Diploma Programme.
Moreover, in Grades 11 and 12, Italian will be offered as beginners’ courses to those students who have no prior experience in these languages. The International Baccalaureate’s Language Acquisition requirement provides for Ab-initio study too. “The expansion of our world languages program is an exciting development for both the school and our IB Diploma offering,” said Head of School, Michael Maniska. “The introduction of another European language, will help us realize our vision to be the premier international school in Los Angeles.”
