Call for Submissions: Distance Learning: Resources for Italian Teachers

Deadline is May 22 – As we all continue to navigate Distance Learning and to provide our students with the most support possible as they continue their language learning, AATI-Long Island would like to recognize your extraordinary commitment to your students of Italian.

We are proud to witness the determination you each demonstrate to ensure a successful continuation of learning for your students. We invite you to share some of the many inspiring examples of the ways you have chosen to help your students stay connected and learn the skills necessary to achieve communicative competence in Italian. We are currently collecting a list of web sources as well as a Google Folder of lessons/activities shared by you and your colleagues that will be distributed to all those who choose to contribute.

We ask that anyone interested in contributing to please email with a list  of (or even 1 or 2) online tools you have found to be useful for your students and/or sharing any activity ideas or documents you have created and found to work well thus far. Upon sharing your resources, you will receive access to the wide breadth of other materials made available by your colleagues that we collect for the benefit of the Italian teacher community. We ask that you please submit your resources by this Friday, May 22.

We hope that in this time of physical social distancing that this will help create an online community to support your needs and maybe even widen and challenge your current teaching methodologies.

We wish you all well in this time and encourage you to reach out so we can best support you!

Cordiali Saluti,
