French/Italian Teacher at Prospect High School – Prospect, IL

Prospect High School seeks individuals with a strong academic background and the desire to help all students maximize learning and promote personal development in a cooperative, supportive, and respectful environment. Viable candidates must be willing to work collaboratively in job-a-like groups and be willing to support Prospect’s co-curricular program.

Qualifications:

  • State of Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Senior HS endorsement in French and Italian.
  • Demonstrate the ability to teach all levels of French and Italian: 1, 2, 3, 4 and AP.
  • Willingness and ability to teach students at differing academic levels.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to work cooperatively with other teachers in the division to develop common assessments and support existing programs.
  • Willingness to support building co-curricular activities as a coach/sponsor.
  • Willingness to participate in course-alike, cross-curricular and vertical teams.
  • Readiness to implement a digital curriculum (1:1 iPad instruction).
  • Preference will be given to candidates who can provide co-curricular support, including organizing and facilitating the French and Italian Exchange Programs.
