Visiting Assistant Professor in Italian at Wake Forest University – Winston-Salem, NC

The Italian Program invites applicants for a position as a Visiting Assistant Professor, beginning July 2023. Full-time, 1-year appointment with benefits. Teaching load is six courses per year, primarily in introductory and intermediate Italian classes. Area of specialization open.

Qualifications: M.A. minimum, PhD preferred, in Italian or related field. ABDs will be considered. Applicants should have native or near-native fluency in both Italian and English. Preference will be given to applicants with training related to foreign language pedagogy and experience teaching undergraduate Italian language courses in a 4-year college or university setting.
