Free Event for Kids (Ages 3–8!)—but fun for the whole family at the Italian American Museum of Los Angeles! The whimsical inventor is back at IAMLA and needs your help! Meet the Italian inventor, who speaks only in rhyme, and her hilariously confused assistant as they work with audience members to bring amazing inventions by legendary Italians from history to life. This imaginative adventure blends science, creativity, music, and surprises. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian—no drop-offs permitted.
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION CREATIVE MINDS: ITALIAN AMERICAN INVENTORS AND INNOVATORS
From the jacuzzi and the telephone to the nuclear reactor and the Big Mac, Italian American inventors and innovators have impacted our lives in ways great and small. Creative Minds examines the achievements and personal stories of Italian American inventors and vanguards, both immigrant and native born, demonstrating that United States innovation has long reflected the diversity of its people. Featuring a range of objects, rare documents, and images, and spanning technology, science, cuisine, education, and medicine, Creative Minds emphasizes the stories of the people who dared to think differently and took risks, all in the pursuit of something new.
