The 9th annual Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World will be held from 18 to 24 November 2024, and this edition’s theme will be Mediterranean Diet and Culinary Roots: Health and Tradition. This year’s event aims to present Italian cuisine with particular emphasis on its traditional roots and the Mediterranean Diet’s recognized ability to protect health within a wholesome, sustainable and balanced lifestyle. Alongside the aspects of health and sustainability, the theme of traditions will be highlighted, synergistically with the Roots Tourism (Turismo delle Radici) program which strives to raise awareness about how our communities abroad have disseminated Italy’s food heritage worldwide.

The Week of Italian Cuisine in the World is a coordinated initiative established as by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to promote the best of the “Made in Italy” brand abroad. The aim is to promote Italian culinary tradition and to express quality levels of excellence around the world and aims to enhance the Italian agrifood chain and the food and wine tradition of our country abroad. With over 9,500 events held in the last seven years in more than 100 countries.
