Description
If your child already says ciao, knows their colors in Italian, and lights up at the sound of a familiar word, they are ready for our class Crescendo! This class offered online and in-person is where letters come alive, sounds click into place, and your 5 or 6-year-old takes their first real steps toward reading and writing in Italian. This class is designed for students starting kindergarten or 1st grade in September 2026, and is the perfect bridge between our Piccoli Amici program and the more advanced Parlo Italiano series. This class meets kids exactly where they are, full of energy, curiosity, and an eagerness to show the world what they know. Every class is packed with songs, games, laughter, and just enough challenge to make every child feel like a true Italian scholar as they learn alongside friends in our welcoming classroom environment. The 45-minute lessons feature the same great foundation we use in Piccoli Amici including songs, games but with extra activities added.
- The Italian Alphabet: From the five vowels (A, E, I, O, U) to consonants introduced in fun pairs, every letter comes with a word your child will never forget.
- Vocabulary Expansion: Animals, family, food, colors, seasons, the home — themes that feel familiar but open doors to dozens of new Italian words.
- Learning to Read: There is nothing quite like the look on a child’s face when they read their first Italian word out loud.
- Writing in Italian: Through beautiful tracing sheets sent home after class, children practice forming Italian letters and words with pencil and paper, building a skill that will serve them for life.
