Discover Italy through its music! From the hypnotic rhythms of Southern folk traditions to the poetic depth of singer-songwriters, this immersive online 60-minute workshop explores how the various regions of Italy express their identities through sound, dialect, and storytelling. Guided by our very own Barbara Saba, Italian native artist and educator, participants travel across Italy, without leaving their seats. You will listen, learn, and engage with songs that reveal the soul of a country shaped by history, migration, and passion. Italy is not just spoken. Italy is sung.
Naples — Passion & Contradiction Language becomes music. Themes of love, irony, and survival. Featured artists: Pino Daniele, Renato Carosone.
Sicily — Roots, Drama & Memory A fusion of cultures. Music as resistance and identity. Featured artist: Carmen Consoli.
Northern Italy — Precision & Modern Identity Urban sound, jazz influences, and political songwriting. Artists: Giorgio Gaber, Ornella Vanoni.
Rome — Cinema, Nostalgia & Poetry Connection to film and storytelling. Roman dialect, emotional depth. Artist: Antonello Venditti.

For workshops we do not provide refunds once you have enrolled in the workshop. If you cannot make the class, please let us know in writing at least 24 hours before the scheduled workshop and we can provide you with a credit to attend another workshop.
