Dall’ABC all’AP: come trasformare il nuovo formato dell’esame AP in un’opportunità fin dal primo anno

AATI is proud to present an online workshop led by Natalie Hernandez (M.A. in Applied Linguistics and AP Teacher) to explore practical strategies for integrating the new AP Italian Course Framework into instruction across lower levels of Italian, building toward AP Italian Language and Culture.  Registration Required.

Inspired by the resources and presentations shared at the 2026 National AP Conference (July 22–25), this session will focus on developing students’ skills and preparing them for the expectations of the AP course from earlier stages of language learning.

Participants will explore rubrics for Italian 3, 4, and 5 aligned with the assessment criteria provided in the new Course and Exam Description (CED). Participants will also examine sample activities and assessment methods designed to help students develop critical thinking, interpretive skills along with communication strategies fit for the AP course project, beginning at lower proficiency levels.

Attendees will receive access to workshop materials, sample activities, and classroom handouts that can be adapted and implemented to meet the needs of their own students and instructional goals.
