Description
AP® Italian Prep 2 is a 16-week, 32-hour intermediate-to-advanced-level course, offered every January, conducted entirely in Italian and geared towards preparing high school students planning to take the AP Italian exam in May. In a virtual classroom setting, students will learn to master authentic material, explore the themes required by the College Board, become familiar with the exam structure, and take practice tests. Please contact us to request an assessment test before enrolling. Students currently enrolled in our AP® Italian Prep 1 course do not need to take the assessment test.

EXAM REGISTRATION IS NOT AUTOMATIC. Students must independently complete two separate processes:
- Course Registration: Enroll in our preparatory course
- Exam Registration: Separately register and pay exam fees
REGISTRATION TIMELINE. This course prepares students to take the AP® Italian exam, but it DOES NOT include exam registration or exam fees. Please note that even though our AP® Italian Prep 2 class starts in January, students must enroll for the exam the semester before. The AP® Italian exam is administered by the College Board annually in May of the spring semester, with a critical registration timeline:
- End of October (fall semester of school year): Earliest registration with lowest fees
- November to February (fall semester of school year): Late registration period with higher fees
EXAM REGISTRATION OPTIONS. Does your school offer the AP® Italian exam?
- If student is taking the exam at their current school, contact the school’s AP® Counselor for specific registration and fee details.
- If student’s high school does not offer the exam, and is preparing for the exam with Fondazione Italia, we have an agreement with a high school in Glendale, CA to take private outside students. Please register for our course and contact our office as soon as possible to receive specific exam registration instructions.

What if Class Has Started?
Once this course has started, we may accept students on a case-by-case basis up to mid-way through the course. All students must first complete an assessment test. If you join a course late, the course fee will be pro-rated so that you don’t pay for the lessons you missed before joining the class. Contact us to receive the assessment test and a pro-rated quote.
Textbook Info
For this course there is no textbook to purchase. The teacher will provide handouts.
