Description
Creare in Italiano is a unique in-person adult only workshop that combines ceramics and Italian language learning. Led by Italian ceramist and Italian teacher, Julka Ossola, participants will learn and practice Italian while creating their own ceramic piece in a relaxed, creative setting. You’ll shape clay, build confidence, and pick up new vocabulary along the way! This workshop is designed to be joyful and immersive, bringing together creativity, culture, and community. Students will not only create and take home a handmade ceramic piece but also new words, expressions, and confidence in the Italian language. All Italian levels welcome — no ceramic experience needed.
Project: Make your hand built tazza (mug) — while you make your own mug you will learn about everyday Italian rituals (all materials, clay, tools, glazes, and firing included in workshop price)
What You’ll Learn:
- How to make a clay tazza
- Italian words and phrases related to daily Italian rituals
- Express simple sentences in Italian about your creation
Minimum of four students is needed to hold the workshop.
