Description

Ragazzi Italiani 3A (“Italian Teens”) is an immersive intermediate-level online course for students ages 13–16 who have completed Ragazzi Italiani 2 or possess a strong pre-intermediate foundation in Italian. Offered in two 15-week semesters starting in September and January, the course meets once a week for 60 minutes. Building on the communicative skills developed in earlier levels, this course challenges students to move beyond everyday conversation and begin expressing more nuanced thoughts, opinions, and arguments in Italian. Students will work with increasingly complex texts—literary excerpts, articles, videos, and dialogues—to deepen their understanding of Italian grammar, idiomatic expressions, and cultural context. Through focused practice in writing, structured discussions, and advanced listening comprehension, students will learn to analyze, reflect, and communicate with greater fluency and accuracy. Rich cultural themes, including Italian history, current events, cinema, and literature, are woven throughout the curriculum to expand cultural literacy and critical thinking skills. Ragazzi Italiani 3 is also an ideal preparation for students considering our Path to the AP® Italian Exam course. This course is conducted entirely in Italian to support full language immersion.
