Week of Italian Cuisine in the World

la settima della cucina italiana nel mondo

In 2025, the Week celebrates its tenth anniversary with the theme “Italian Cooking: Culture, Health and Innovation.” This milestone edition presents Italian cuisine as a mosaic of knowledge and values, reflecting Italy’s deep connection to food. It aims to promote awareness of Italian cuisine in support of its candidacy for inclusion on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage List, highlight it as a healthy, balanced, and sustainable model that helps prevent non-communicable diseases, and showcase the innovation and research driving Italy’s agri-food chain — from production to reuse. To support international promotion, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation develops annual projects and communication materials with partner organizations, providing them to the Italian network abroad to enhance local initiatives.
