Shopping in Italy… on a budget!

When in Italy, a little bit of shopping is a must! But where do you go if you have a limited budget, but you still want to get some souvenirs that will make you “oh so Italian” looking back home? When you arrive in a new city or town, ask the Hotel concierge or the baker around the corner, “Qual e` il giorno del mercato?” (What day is the market?). This is NOT the farmers’ market you know, trust me! You will find adorable scarves, shoes, jewelry, purses, clothes, and much more at a third of the price sold in stores. Every neighbor in every city or town has one at least once a week!
