Description
Parlo Italiano 5 (“I Speak Italian”) is an enriching, dynamic, advanced-level Italian language immersion course designed for passionate young linguists ages 7-11. This year-long program builds on previous language foundations to develop sophisticated communication skills in a fully immersive Italian environment.
Ideal for students who:
- Have successfully completed Parlo Italiano 4
- Are currently enrolled in Italian dual-immersion elementary programs
- Have demonstrated comparable proficiency (with instructor approval)
Course Approach: Through engaging activities, authentic cultural experiences, and interactive conversations, students will significantly expand their Italian fluency. Our communicative methodology emphasizes practical language application while systematically developing:
- Complex grammatical structures and nuanced vocabulary
- Advanced reading comprehension and analytical skills
- Refined writing techniques for various contexts
- Authentic pronunciation and natural speech patterns
- Cultural competence and appreciation of Italian traditions
Immersive Experience: From the moment students enter the classroom, they’ll be transported to Italy through a 100% Italian-speaking environment. This complete immersion accelerates language acquisition and builds confidence in real-world communication.

Class Dates: Sept. 6, 13, 20, 27 – Oct. 4, 11, 18, 25 – Nov. 1, 8, 15, 22 – Dec. 6, 13, 20 – No Class Nov. 29
What if Class Has Started?
For this course we can accept new students once classes have started on a case-by-case basis up to mid-way through the course. If you join a course late, the course fee will be pro-rated so that you don’t pay for the lessons you missed before joining the class. Please contact us if you wish to join this course.
Textbook Info
For this course the textbook we will using is Forte 3 Textbook. You can purchase the books along with your course at the time of registration or you can purchase them from our bookstore at a later date.
