Description
Italian Advanced Placement Prep 1 is a pathway course to the Advanced Placement Italian Language and Culture exam. It is a semester long online Italian language course offered every September specifically designed for high school students who already speak Italian (intermediate level or above) and would like to take the Advanced Placement Italian and Culture Exam in May. Students in this course will work on strengthening their grammar and language structure skills, and will focus on improving comprehension and conversation skills. Students who successfully complete this course will be ready to enroll in Fondazione Italia’s Advanced Placement Exam Prep 2 course offered every January. IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE ITALIAN AP EXAM:
The Italian AP® Exam is administered by the College Board annually in May, with a critical registration timeline:
- End of October (previous year): Earliest registration with lowest fees
- November to February: Late registration period with higher fees
EXAM REGISTRATION IS NOT AUTOMATIC. Students must independently complete two separate processes:
- Course Registration: Enroll in our preparatory course (Advanced Placement Exam Prep 2)
- Exam Registration: Separately register and pay exam fees
