Hilary Stern

Hilary graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University with a bachelor’s degree in Italian Studies and Marketing. She is fluent in Italian and lived in Padova before moving to New York in 1992 where she began her career in Public Relations eventually working for Giorgio Armani and Dolce & Gabbana before moving to Sweden in 1997 to work for the DKNY store in Stockholm. In 1999, Hilary moved to Los Angeles where she owned and operated an Italian Ceramic store until 2005 before joining Fondazione Italia as Program Coordinator in early 2008. In 2015 Hilary became Executive Director of Fondazione Italia where she has worked to create important connections in the community and with students with the focused goal to promote Italian language and culture to as many people as possible. In 2021 Hilary was deeply honored to receive the title of Cavaliere under the Ordine della Stella d’Italia from the Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles, Silvia Chiave.
