Italian 100 SCS (Small Class Size) is perfect for students who prefer shorter classes (60 minutes) and thrive in a smaller group environment (4 students max) where the teacher’s attention and speaking opportunities are enhanced. This course is designed for students who are absolute beginners with zero to low knowledge of Italian. In this introductory 10-week Italian language course, students will learn about pronunciation and the alphabet, greetings, and numbers 0 to 20. Students will also learn beginning grammar concepts including nouns’ gender and number, subject pronouns, and definite and indefinite articles while also covering basic present tense verb families. This course aims to develop students’ basic communicative skills through learning vocabulary and grammar to be able to use and respond to everyday expressions in simple conversations. Day & Time: Mondays 9:00 am – 10:00 am (PST)
Class Dates: Apr. 8, 15, 22, 29 – May 6, 13, 20, 20 – June 3, 10

Day & Time: Wednesday 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm (PST)
Class Dates: Apr. 10, 17, 24 – May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 – June 5, 12

What if Class Has Started?

For our adult classes we can accept new students once a course has started on a case-by-case basis up to mid-way through the course.  If you join a course late, the course fee will be pro-rated so that you don’t pay for the lessons you missed before joining the class.


For this course the textbook we will using is NEW Italian Espresso 1 and New Italian Espresso 1 Workbook. You can purchase the books along with your course at the time of registration or you can purchase them from our bookstore at a later date.
